If a student enrolled in a course with an Accelerate Education teacher has an approved IEP or 504 Plan, it is incumbent upon the enrolling district to notify the Accelerate teacher about the existence of the IEP or 504 Plan and to communicate the necessary accommodations that must be implemented.
Districts should submit a copy of the student's IEP or 504 Plan via this submission form so that it may be uploaded to Accelerate in a secure fashion. Accelerate's Instructional Director will review each plan and securely attach it to the student's user record. This will ensure that the IEP or 504 Plan is only accessible to the teacher(s) assigned to the student's course(s).
Districts should notify Accelerate Education any time changes are made to a student's IEP or 504 Plan.
